Reporting to the Director of Revenue Accounting Operations, the Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting the business with revenue data in addition to traditional monthly close and operational activities, including billing and collections. The Manager will play a key role in ensuring revenue is calculated timely and accurately and will partner with teams across the organization.

This role is a hybrid role based at Zūm’s headquarters in Redwood Springs, CA, and requires in‑office presence Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

• Execute monthly revenue and accounts receivable close procedures, ensuring accurate results are delivered in a timely manner for reporting in accordance with US GAAP, including reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Connect with customers to resolve outstanding items, including detailed adherence to contractual provisions.
• Prepare and/or review the billing, accounts receivable, and cash collections processes, troubleshoot day‑to‑day issues, and ensure accuracy of customer contracts. Ensure all revenue recognized meets revenue criteria consistent with ASC 606.
• Assist in preparation of audit‑ready memos for revenue‑related standard and non‑standard contracts and audited financials as needed.
• Partner with Engineering and Sales to fulfill billing data requirements, resolve any customer billing concerns, and optimize current processes.
• Conduct flux analysis of revenue and accounts receivable accounts.
• Build new processes to help the business scale and serve as a key point person for the ERP (Net Suite) revenue module.
• Review reports provided to Finance, Sales, and Operations prior to distribution.
• Support audit deliverables and coordinate with auditors during the year‑end audit.
• Manage and calculate AR reserve balances.
• Manage, mentor, and develop junior staff members on the team, contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture with the highest integrity and sense of ownership.
• Assist with special projects needed by Management.

• Licensed CPA and experience at a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6+ years combined public accounting and/or industry experience.
• Proficiency in GAAP, including ASC 606 and SOX accounting standards.
• Experience in writing accounting position papers.

The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition to base pay, this position may include equity or commissions. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), holidays, wellness, vacation, and more. The targeted pay range for this role in US CA is: $110,000 – $160,000.
