We have a publicly traded Pharmaceutical Company in Redwood City, CA seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
Highlights of the role- This role would be a 6+ month contract with the opportunity to be longer-term
- Pay is up to $60/hr
- Must have experience supporting an HR Team as an Executive Assistant and ideally supporting the CHRO in the past
- 5-days onsite in their Redwood City office is required
- Hours are 8-5pm Monday-Friday
- Have advanced PowerPoint abilities to support the creation/editing of presentations for the HR Team to the Board

Role OverviewThe Executive Assistant to the CHRO is a trusted partner who provides high-level administrative, project, and communication support to enable the execution of firmwide People and HR strategies. This role requires exceptional organization, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage complex, multi-time-zone calendar scheduling and coordinate domestic and international travel for the CHRO.
- Serve as the CHRO’s operational partner, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and key initiatives.
- Prepare agendas, briefing materials, presentations, and follow-up documentation for executive and leadership meetings.
- Draft and distribute internal communications related to leadership updates, promotions, onboarding, and policy changes.
- Compile confidential data and materials for board and executive reporting (e.g., headcount, attrition, diversity metrics).
- Track leadership compliance and mandatory training deadlines.
- Coordinate and track CHRO priority projects across regions and HR disciplines, maintaining visibility on milestones and deliverables.
- Develop status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries; identify risks and elevate issues as needed.
- Coordinate logistics for HR leadership meetings, town halls, and planning sessions.
- Build strong relationships with regional HR teams and key stakeholders to ensure collaboration and alignment.
- 5+ years of experience in executive support, HR coordination, or project management, ideally in a global or matrixed environment.
- Experience supporting senior HR leaders or C-suite executives preferred.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfort engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
