Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Redwood City, CA is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students across various grade levels, from early childhood and preschool through high school, including grades K-12. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic educational setting that values specialized instruction and student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with special needs across multiple grade levels.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to create and implement effective IEPs (Individualized Education Programs).
- Utilize differentiated teaching strategies to enhance learning outcomes in subjects such as math and other core curricula.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and communicate regularly with parents and school personnel.
