Job SummaryEquinix is seeking a Senior Director, Info Sec Product Management to lead the strategy, delivery, and evolution of our internal security platforms and security-as-code capabilities. This role oversees a highly technical product management function within Info Sec, ensuring that security controls are delivered as robust, developer-ready products rather than policies or one-off initiatives.
Reporting to the CISO and partnering closely with Security Engineering and Engagement, this leader will own the end-to-end lifecycle of key Info Sec products—including identity, data protection, network security, vulnerability scanning, cloud security, and compliance automation. This role sets the standard for technical depth, product discipline, and engineering partnership across Info Sec, enabling security to operate at Equinix scale while remaining as automated, reliable, and seamless as possible.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Own and lead the Info Sec Product Management function, including hiring, mentoring, and developing highly technical product managers embedded across security domains
- Establish clear product ownership for core security capabilities (e.g., IAM, secrets management, vulnerability management, cloud security posture, detection & response, data protection)
Product Strategy & Portfolio Management
- Define and maintain the security product portfolio, product taxonomy, and long-term roadmap aligned to enterprise risk, regulatory needs, and business priorities
- Define success metrics for security products, including adoption, reliability, developer experience, control coverage, and risk-reduction outcomes
- Balance regulatory, operational, and engineering trade-offs, making explicit prioritization decisions and clearly articulating rationale to executives and stakeholders
Product Development & Delivery Execution
- Partner deeply with Security Engineering to deliver security-as-code, guardrails, and shared platforms integrated into CI/CD, cloud, and infrastructure workflows
- Drive product improvements through direct engagement with developers, SREs, infrastructure teams, and platform owners to understand pain points and adoption barriers
Cross-Functional Alignment & Scaling
- Lead cross-functional planning with Engineering, Product, and Project Management to ensure security capabilities scale consistently across regions and offerings
- Represent Info Sec Product Management in executive forums, clearly communicating roadmap progress, technical risks, and investment needs

Qualifications
- 12+ years in product management, security engineering, or platform engineering, including 5+ years leading product teams
- Experience building internal platforms or developer-facing products in security, cloud, or infrastructure
- Strong understanding of cloud-native security, identity, zero trust, and automation
- Experience mapping regulatory frameworks into technical controls
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ: 269, USD / Annual
United States - Dallas Field Office: 224, USD / Annual
