Our platform enables organizations to fuel collaboration, manage the entire content lifecycle, secure critical content, and transform business workflows with enterprise AI. We help companies thrive in the new AI-first era of business. Founded in 2005, Box simplifies work for leading global organizations, including JLL, Morgan Stanley, and Nationwide. Box is headquartered in Redwood City, CA, with offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
By joining Box, you will have the unique opportunity to continue driving our platform forward. Content powers how we work. It’s the billions of files and information flowing across teams, departments, and key business processes every single day: contracts, invoices, employee records, financials, product specs, marketing assets, and more. Our mission is to bring intelligence to the world of content management and empower our customers to completely transform workflows across their organizations.
With the combination of AI and enterprise content, the opportunity has never been greater to transform how the world works together and at Box you will be on the front lines of this massive shift.
Box needs a social-native AI expert to join our content marketing team.
This is not a traditional social media manager role. It is a social journalist role: someone who is deeply plugged into the AI conversation, understands what people are talking about before they’re told, and helps Box participate natively in those conversations with speed and credibility.
The job is to help Box communicate and engage directly in-channel — on Linked In, X, and other relevant platforms — rather than treating social only as a distribution layer for content that lives somewhere else.
This role exists to directly address a core capability gap:
- better editorial judgment in social channels
- faster conversion of signal into content that matters now
That’s what will improve Box’s speed, quality, and market impact in the AI conversation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO 1) Overall Social Engagement Strategy (AI conversation leadership)Define how Box should show up as a trusted voice in the ongoing AI conversation on social channels like X and Linked In.
That includes:
- where we show up (channels, communities, formats)
- what kind of contribution we make (commentary, explainers, reactions, examples, demos)
- how Box, executives, and internal experts should participate
- how social supports Box’s goal of becoming a destination for enterprise AI thinking
This is a strategic role, not just an execution role.
2) Listening and Editorial SignalBe Box’s most plugged-in observer of what’s happening in AI and enterprise AI conversations.
You should be the person who:
- spots important topics early
- understands what’s gaining traction and why
- identifies where Box has a credible angle
- surfaces ideas before anyone has to ask
Help Box contribute directly and credibly in the channels where the conversation is happening.
That includes:
- writing/shaping platform-native posts and threads
- working through Box channels, executive channels, or internal experts as appropriate
- moving quickly while keeping quality and relevance high
The role is not “promote the finished asset.”
The role is “help Box show up in the conversation itself.”
Work across the org model to convert signal into content and learning.
- Feed signal into story planning and fast-turn editorial responses
- Shape packaging and formats for in-channel participation (clips, graphics, demos)
- Help define what should be measured so we learn what actually earns attention and trust
- Support stronger, more credible participation in AI conversations
- Box shows up more credibly and consistently in live AI conversations
- We are faster at converting market signal into relevant content and commentary
- Executives and experts contribute more effectively in-channel
- Social presence feels native, useful, and informed — not overly promotional
- The broader content team gets better at outside-in thinking because signal is flowing consistently
We are not primarily looking for a classic social media marketer.
