Box is looking for a Business Analyst III to support the HCM, Benefits, Compensation and Performance functions within Box. The role involves designing, developing, supporting, maintaining, and improving Workday programs, collaborating with business partners and the IT Enterprise Systems team, and partnering with People teams to plan, design, and build optimal solutions for systems and applications.
What You’ll Do- Partner with the Benefits, Talent, Compensation, and People Operations teams to understand business needs and solutions that align with overall business strategies.
- Analyze business requirements, identify gaps, develop business requirements, document user stories, and translate them into effective functional design specifications and application configurations.
- Lead AI & Automation Innovation: explore and implement agentic AI solutions to enhance workflows, and robust automations to streamline decision‑making and elevate the employee experience.
- Become an internal Workday HCM expert with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation; leverage business knowledge to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Provide ongoing production support, including troubleshooting and resolution of critical production issues, enhancements, and year‑end processes.
- Test solutions to ensure they meet business requirements/specifications and document existing and new processes.
- Leverage Workday capabilities (Report Writer, prompts/filters, calculated fields, matrix/advanced reports, scheduling, security) to deliver scalable outputs.
- Collaborate with the integrations team to configure and test integration between Workday and other 3rd party/custom solutions.
- Educate and guide users on effective approaches to implementing new features and provide technical guidance for testing and adoption of new features.
- Drive the planning, prioritization, design, development and deployment of new projects & system enhancements using Box project methodology and industry best practices.
- 5+ years of industry experience implementing & supporting various HR applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of design/configuration experience with Workday HCM, Advanced Reporting, Benefits, Compensation, and/or Performance modules.
- Experience with Workday Integrations to applications such as Equity, HR & external vendor applications.
- Deep understanding of software testing and building/executing test plans in unit, functional and user acceptance test cycles.
- Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely, keeping others informed.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize to ensure work is done timely and at high quality.
- Experience with multiple HCM, payroll and/or financial applications a plus.
- Partial coverage of PST hours required, including occasional support for critical processes as needed.

United States Pay Range: $110,500 USD - $138,000 USD.
