Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Manufacturing Production
Position Summary
To maintain, install, and repair production and facility equipment. Construct and install, support equipment to production areas.
Key Role Responsibilities- Perform and record preventive maintenance as defined on all production equipment.
- Repair and maintain all production equipment as required.
- Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts for repairs and PMs.
- Move, anchor, and align production machines as requested.
- Perform forklift section repairs and preventive maintenance on all company forklifts, man-ups, and high reaches and personnel carriers.
- Observe all applicable safety rules and report unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to Supervisor.
- Notify maintenance supervisors, department leader, and value stream managers when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials etc.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years mechanical maintenance experience
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic knowledge of business processes.
- Mechanical skills, welding skills (stick and wire feed), print reading, etc.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Using drill press, torches, hand tools, cut off saw, iron worker, etc.
- Ability to obtain forklift and company Vehicle Driver's licenses.
- Ability to lift 50lbs overhead.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Much of the work will be in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to clearly follow directions and work instructions is required.
- Ability to assess your work environment in order to recognize and control hazards you may encounter.
- You are required to work a rotating 3rd shift.
- Vision must be able to meet vision requirements as outlined by standard occupational guidelines
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Pushing - Job requires pushing production materials and wheeled carts
- Sitting - Frequently as required by the process
- Standing - Frequently as required by the process
- Climbing - Seldom as required by the process
- Kneeling - Occasionally as required by the process
- Coaching/stooping - Occasionally as required by the process
- Full use - Job requires full range of upper extremities in the manipulation of materials used in the production processes
- Simultaneous - Operating machinery and positioning production materials requiring a high degree of mental awareness and concentration
- Communication - Job requires both written and oral skills in communicating with others and receiving instruction
- Other - Standing on a ladder; repetitive motion with foot; fine manipulation - using fingers to push keys
Pay Transparency: Chemelex's pay scale is based on the expected range of compensation for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation RangeCompensation Range: $42,800 - $61,200 - Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
