About the RoleAs an Assembly Technician II
, you will build, install, test, and maintain Dexterity’s robotic equipment. You will play a hands‑on role in assembling complex electromechanical systems and supporting repairs, upgrades, and deployments.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with hardware, values precision, and thrives in a fast‑paced production environment.
What You’ll Do- Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
- Fasten parts and subassemblies using bolts, screws, rivets, and other hardware
- Interpret assembly instructions, specifications, blueprints, and parts lists
- Assemble and inspect components for proper fit and function
- Support troubleshooting and repair activities (e.g., circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders)
- Follow step‑by‑step quality assurance procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Prepare systems for internal testing and deployment
- Support 2–4 week deployment assignments as needed
- Strong mechanical assembly experience required
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
High attention to detail and commitment to quality - Ability to take direction and adapt quickly to changes
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Willingness to travel for short‑term deployments
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- Powered hand tools (drill, hammer drill, angle grinder)
- Electrical hand tools (crimpers, wiring tools, etc.)
- Forklift certification a plus
- Stand or walk for the majority of the workday
- Perform physical activities including reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, and crawling
- Lift 40 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs with assistance
- Use fine motor skills and hand dexterity to complete detailed assembly work
- Read detailed assembly documentation and blueprints
$25 – $40 an hour
Base pay is one component of our Total Rewards package, which may include comprehensive benefits and equity depending on eligibility.
This position is non‑exempt (hourly).
Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications.
