Interim Assistant Nurse Manager ? Hospital Case Management

Job Description:

Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking an
Interim Assistant Nurse Manager – Hospital Case Management
for a W2 Contract position based in Redwood City, CA.

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks (possibility of extending)

Compensation:

This position offers a daily rate of $660 to $675 which equates to $3,300 to $3,375 per week (based on a 5-day / 40-hour workweek)

Per Diems:
Lodging: $183 per day and Meals & Incidentals: $86 per day

Per diems are paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $1,883 per week

Auto Stipend: $25 per day

Stipend is paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $175 per week

Total Weekly Compensation (Daily Rate + Per Diems + Stipend): Between $5,358 to $5,433 per week

Summary:

Manages activities of the unit(s), monitors quality, service, and utilization standards, and supervises day-to-day shift operations.

Essential Functions:

Manages day-to-day clinical operations including practice standards, staffing, payroll, budgets, fiscal management, and quality improvement.

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and departmental policies.

Develops work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines.

Aligns team efforts and monitors progress toward operational goals.

Supervises daily activities of the unit and coordinates work assignments.

Supports staff development, performance management, and training initiatives.

Monitors quality of care and utilization standards at the unit level.

Ensures coordinated patient care and cost‑effective use of services.

Allocates staff and resources based on patient needs and operational priorities.

Coordinates resources to support business and clinical objectives.

Works with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Facilitates collaboration across departments and care settings.

Qualifications:

BSN or BA in health care related field required;
Experience in lieu of degree will be considered. Masters preferred.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience relevant to department (hospital Case Management, Utilization Review, Discharge Planning, Care Coordination), including 2 years leadership experience required.
