Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Outpatient ENT

Redwood City, CA. Stanford Health Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our outpatient Otolaryngology (ENT) team. This full‑time role supports a Rhinologist and an Otologist while managing an independent, comprehensive ENT practice across our Redwood City and Palo Alto clinics. Schedule is Monday‑Friday, 8‑hour days.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of outpatient ENT conditions, including new patient visits, return visits, and pre‑ and post‑operative care.
• Perform clinic‑based ENT procedures within the provider’s scope of practice.
• Provide clinical care per written standardized procedures: obtain complete histories, perform physical exams, order diagnostic studies, administer, order, furnish and prescribe medications, order and collect specimens, order therapy services, perform designated procedures, obtain informed consent, initiate hospital admissions and discharges, enroll patients in investigational studies, assist the supervising physician in the operating room, and provide patient teaching and counseling.
• Consult with the supervising physician for tasks exceeding competency or refer cases.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
• Recognize and respond to situations requiring immediate physician attention and life‑saving procedures.
• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care and services, facilitate collaboration between providers and community resources.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. (NPs hired prior to March 1, 2012 are not subject to this educational requirement.)
• Graduate of an NP program accredited by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

• Registered Nurse (RN) – State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure.
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
• NP Furnishing Number (NPF) license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support).

Generally starting at $89.01 – $117.94 per hour. Salary will be based on internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
