Job Description

Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking an Interim Quality Nurse Consultant for a W2 Contract position based in South Redwood City, California.

Schedule:

Full Time, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending

Location:

Redwood City, CA Weekly compensation:
Between $4,827 – $5,425 (all-in), with flexibility in how the package is structured based on candidate needs. Compensation may include a combination of taxable wages, per diems (if eligible), and reimbursements. Benefits:

Summary:

The Interim Quality Nurse Consultant provides expertise in clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, risk management, and infection prevention. This role analyzes quality data, leads quality improvement and corrective action efforts, and applies skills in process mapping, project management, risk assessment, and CQI methodologies. Serves as a subject matter expert while collaborating with stakeholders and providing education, coaching, and training.

Essential Functions:
  • Provides consultation and education on clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, risk management, and infection prevention.
  • Supports evidence-based programs, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collects, analyzes, and presents quality data for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leads quality improvement, corrective action planning, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Monitors performance metrics and uses data-driven methods, including Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on quality standards, policies, audits, and compliance.
  • Builds collaboration, supports stakeholder development, and provides coaching and training.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • Registered Nurse in California required.
  • BLS Certification required.
  • Experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports required.
  • Experience with databases and spreadsheets to continuous quality improvement (CQI) tools required.
  • Experience in a clinical setting or nursing experience in cardiovascular spaces such as ED, ICU, health care administration required.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
