The Opportunity:
Senior Research Associate, Biomedical Discovery Research
As a member of the Translational Research team within the Biomedical Discovery Research Department, you will:
- Contribute to cutting‑edge translational research with unique RAS pathway inhibitors.
- Conduct in vivo pharmacology studies and work cross‑functionally for resistance modeling, including but not restricted to:
- Antitumor activity evaluation and PKPD profiling of novel anti‑cancer agents.
- Assist study directors with the logistics of CRO studies and in‑house sample processing and analysis.
- Analyze experimental data and present results at internal meetings.
As a member of the Research team you will have opportunity to collaborate extensively with biologists, chemists, pharmacologists, and data scientists to generate novel insights into key drivers of RAS‑addicted cancers and receive hands‑on training in various techniques commonly used in preclinical pharmacology studies.
Required Skills, Experience and
Education:
- Master’s degree in biosciences, pharmacology or a related field + 3 years’ experience.
- Relevant prior cancer research experience in academic laboratories or industry experience in an oncology drug discovery setting.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent record keeping and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated experience in executing and interpreting data from lab experiments, such as hands‑on experience with small rodents, Western blot, qRT‑PCR, ddPCR, IHC, mammalian cell culture, Cell Titer‑Glo etc.
- Communication skills for cross‑functional teamwork
- Enthusiasm for learning new techniques and applying them to benefit cancer patients.
Preferred
Skills:
Prior laboratory experience in a relevant research area would be an advantage, such as:
- Background in cancer biology and signal transduction research, especially RAS/MAPK signaling pathway.
- Experience with small molecule inhibitors.
*** Pay rate is commensurate with experience. Target pay rate range is $45-55/hr***
