ALL ABOUT STYLE: A team of consultants who understand what it means to meet our guests where they are and deliver for them through strong operations, guest experience and visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket. A Style Consultant is passionate about strong operations and providing an incredible guest experience, with in-store presentations that enable self-discovery. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests’ needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room.

At Target, we believe in meaningful experiences that help team members build and develop skills for a career. The role of a Style Consultant includes:

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, pricing and promotions, and basic visual merchandising
• Industry trends including style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
• Set, fill, and price the floor according to guest priorities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, signage, knowledge of assortment and brand offerings to assist the guest as needed.
• Use store tools to understand sales and inventory and to support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing priority fills and merchandising to capacity.
• Maintain backroom organization to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price change processes and signing for clearance merchandising.
• Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by moving merchandise from fitting rooms and guest services back to the sales floor.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-Up while ensuring compliance with laws (including adult beverage laws where applicable).
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and engaging to solve needs.
• Thank guests and show appreciation for shopping at Target.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• You thrive in a fast-moving, active role that requires teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving.
• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and peak shopping times).

The Good News:
We provide training to teach you what you need to know to be a Style Consultant. From the start, you should have:

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories
• A welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and teammates
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other tech
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly
• Capability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

We also expect:

• Accurate cash register operations as needed
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
