Software Engineer, Web

Poshmark is looking for a talented and creative Staff Web Engineer to build web applications with a simple user interface and solid code that impacts millions of users. The role will be dynamic and varied, requiring a versatile self-starter willing to dive into multiple initiatives.

• Responsible for creating web application features.
• Develop scalable, high-performance, and maintainable code.
• Work with web technologies built on the web, database, and caching technologies.
• Tune the performance for the web application.

• Get familiar with the existing web architecture and code base.
• Independently drive feature development.
• Collaborate effectively within the team.
• Participate in technical discussions and evaluate design and architecture of solutions.

• Propose ideas and changes to improve the application from performance and scalability perspectives.
• Establish yourself as a technical lead for the web team.

• 8 years software development experience, including at least 3 years building easy‑to‑use, responsive web applications.
• Experience with Node, Vue, React, Angular, Ruby on Rails, No
  
  SQL technologies (e.g., Mongo
  
  DB), and AWS is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in building a web development stack.
• Understanding and designing RESTful web services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
