About B-Well:
B-Well is a manual osteopathic practice delivering care for patients into 2 phases. Phase 1 is hands-on with the osteopath with a focus on injury recovery, alignment and nervous system regulation. Phase 2 is injury prevention through movement therapy, with a focus on building foundational core strength and mobility coaching. The practice is recruiting 2 strength and mobility coaches and 1 osteopath.
About the Strength and Mobility Coach Role:
The ideal Strength and Mobility Candidate has a passion for preventing injuries through movement and weight training. This role is ideal for someone who loves to help clients improve strength, mobility, alignment, and functional movement in a safe and supportive environment. Who is also willing to work with clients who are fearful about returning to exercise due to previous injuries or surgery.
The ideal candidate is competent and willing to work with adolescents, adults and seniors. B-Well understands the stress of commuting so the candidate ideally lives within a 15-20 mile (or less) radius of Redwood City, CA.
Shifts and Compensation:
This part time position has set weekly shifts. We have available shifts times on Monday through Sunday. Compensation is commission based, starting around $70 per session. The hourly payout rate increases on an incremental sliding scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized sessions focused on strength, mobility, and corrective movement
- Conduct movement assessments and develop personalized programming, using our EMR platform
- Collaborate with trainers, or other wellness practitioners as needed
- Maintain accurate session notes and track client progress
- Create a welcoming, professional atmosphere that supports client confidence and success
- Uphold safety standards and modify exercises based on client needs or limitations
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in strength training, mobility coaching, Pilates, or rehabilitation-focused movement (5 years preferred)
- Strong understanding of biomechanics, posture, and injury-informed movement
- Experience working with clients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, or post-rehab conditions
Certification in one or more of the following (or equivalent):
- Kinesiology background
- Pilates (Mat and Reformer)
- Corrective Exercise Specialist
- Personal Training (NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc.)
- Weight lifting, power lifting, bodybuilding experience and background
- Physical therapy experience is a plus
- Excellent communication, observation, and client-support skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Experience collaborating with wellness practitioners
- Ability to work with a wide range of clients, including seniors, athletes, and individuals with chronic pain
- Additional certifications in mobility, stretching, or somatic practices
