Marketing Instructor (Part-Time Faculty Pool)
Reedley College – Reedley Campus. Part-time faculty instructor in Marketing. The position is part of a continuous recruitment pool with ongoing application acceptance. Start dates are flexible and will be announced when vacancies arise.
Essential Functions of the Position- Teach a part‑time schedule of Marketing courses as assigned.
- Use a variety of pedagogies and integrate technology for face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid formats.
- Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Apply effective teaching methods aligned with the approved curriculum and course outlines.
- Evaluate student progress through tests, examinations, written assignments, and oral responses in accordance with course objectives.
- Provide course syllabi to students.
- Maintain classroom records in accordance with District Policy.
- Submit all required grading and evaluation reports in a timely manner.
- Teach in a variety of instructional settings and times, including as needed.
- Fulfill all duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of diverse student backgrounds, including socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic factors.
- Master’s degree in business administration, business management, business education, marketing, advertising or finance; or
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the above and a Master’s in economics, accountancy, taxation or law; or
- A valid California Community College Credential; or
- Equivalent education and/or experience (equivalency required).

Desirable Qualifications- Experience incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion into all areas of responsibility.
- Recent experience with African American, Asian/Pacific Islander, Latinx, Native American, and other racially minoritized students.
- Willingness to examine and improve instructional practices to better engage racially minoritized students.
- Related work and professional experience.
- Experience working with students of varied cultural, gender, age, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, including students with disabilities.
- Experience with traditionally underrepresented student populations and ability to support diverse students.
- Experience facilitating multicultural and cross‑cultural communication with sensitivity.
- Experience with under‑prepared and high‑need community college students.
- Demonstrated collaborative ability with faculty and staff to enhance instruction, curriculum, and student success.
- Proficiency with computers and instructional technologies.
- Effective communication with students and staff.
- Knowledge of current assessment methods and materials.
- Knowledge of the community college mission and goals.
- Newly hired part‑time faculty placed on step one of the Part‑time Faculty Salary Schedule.
- Salary placements based on education and experience as outlined in the Part‑time Faculty Salary Classifications.
- Sick leave accrual based on assignment hours.
