As a Press Brake Operator 2 at Ryerson, you will be responsible for day-to-day staging, packing, and picking material for shipments using proper equipment.

• Operate press brake equipment safely and efficiently in priority order
• Perform quality assurance checks of own work and coworkers
• Ensure all customer specifications are held within forming department
• Proven ability to set up a minimum of two different machines with tooling, program and repeatability to meet tolerances of +/- .1 degree and 0.0010 dimensional tolerance
• Modify programs to optimize machine and material handling
• Proper completion of paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping/receiving on the computer
• Maximum productivity for finished goods creation
• All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

• Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Minimum 2 years of similar job experience preferred
• Regular attendance
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer
• Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility
• Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding and new hire training

Wage: $25 - $27.85 hourly. A starting hourly wage higher than $25 is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
