Reports To:

Plant Manager

• Track incoming and outgoing inventory (raw materials and finished goods)
• Maintain accurate inventory records (manual logs or digital systems)
• Perform cycle counts and full inventory audits
• Inspect goods for damage, quality, food safety concerns or discrepancies
• Label, tag, and organize stock in storage areas
• Coordinate with packing and shipping departments
• Report shortages, overages, or inconsistencies

• Follow safety and sanitation procedures (especially in food packing plants)

• Attention to detail‑ accurate counting, labeling, and recordkeeping
• Basic math skills‑ counting stock, tracking quantities, reconciling discrepancies
• Computer literacy‑ familiarity with inventory software (e.g., Excel or warehouse systems)
• Organization‑ managing stock efficiently and keeping records updated
• Communication‑ coordinating with packing staff, supervisors, and shipping teams

• Education:
  • High school diploma or similar
• Experience:
  • 0–2 years in inventory, warehouse, or packing environments
  • Experience with shipping/receiving is often a plus

• Use of:
  • Barcode scanners
  • Inventory management systems
  • Forklifts or pallet jacks (certification may be required)
• Understanding of FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory method

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards
• In food plants: adherence to sanitation and hygiene rules (like HACCP principles)

• Forklift certification
• Prior work in a packing or production facility

Pay Range ($17.00 min - $17.25 max)/hour

This position may encompass other duties than the specified duties listed above. If necessary, alternative duties can be assigned at the discretion of the direct supervisor.
