Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to emergency patients, ensuring prompt, efficient, and compassionate treatment. Supervises nursing staff, coordinates interdisciplinary efforts, and supports optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced ER setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients promptly and systematically to identify their healthcare needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on nursing standards and patient assessments.
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions according to physician orders and protocols.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing team members while maintaining accountability for patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient discharge, follow-up, and ongoing care.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and in compliance with facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent emergency room or acute care nursing experience.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Have current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically Epic.
• Show excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
