Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Room, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and effective treatment. Supervises nursing staff, coordinates with interdisciplinary teams, and utilizes critical thinking to deliver high-quality emergency care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver urgent and ongoing nursing interventions aligning with established protocols.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff, ensuring adherence to care standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to assess and develop care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options, discharge instructions, and health maintenance.
• Document patient assessments, care activities, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure seamless continuity of care post-visit.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Possess BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Obtain and maintain ACLS and PALS certifications from authorized agencies.
• Have at least two years of recent emergency nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health record systems.
• Exhibit excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
