Description:
Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment.
Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes.
Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes.
Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and humane environment.
Provide learning opportunities for patients and families.
Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams.
Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
