Food Safety Technician - PM Shift

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist with training for food safety and quality requirements
• Maintain documentation such as SOP’s, as well as maintenance of manuals, policies and procedures as related to any food safety concerns
• Conduct internal facility food safety audits as well assist with third party audits
• Monitor and verify activities to ensure that all products coming in and out of the facility meet food safety standards in addition to quality standards
• Update existing food safety procedures and documentation per changing requirements
• Work closely with Packing and Cold Storage and Field Managers on any food safety or quality assurance issues
• Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed and documented correctly at all times
• Other duties, will be assigned

This position may encompass other duties than the specified duties listed above. If necessary, alternative duties can be assigned at the discretion of the direct supervisor.

• A minimum of 2-3 years of food safety experience, knowledge and experience with HACCP, USDA, or FDA preferred.
• Previous experience with SQF, GFSI, Primus, BRC, GMP’s, GAP’S and/or USDA audits desirable.
• Must be flexible with work hours and days.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills, including e-mail, Microsoft Office, Famous Software.
• Experience with Facility Sanitation.
• Medical.

Pay Range $19.00 min - $22.00 max per hour.
