Commercial Truck Driver; AM Shift

Job Summary

Job Title:

Truck Drivers (Class

A) – Non‑Supervisory Position. Reports to Cold Storage Manager. Working hours vary during peak season (day and night).

Location:

Cold Storage.

To ensure timely delivery of product to customers on specific routes while ensuring exceptional delivery service and quality product.

Note:

Our drivers are never permitted to leave the State of California (Intrastate) in a Company truck.

• Provide a clean DMV printout.
• Enforce and encourage the company safety program and use of required safety equipment.
• Complete shipping and receiving activities:
  • Shipping: transfers, sales orders, re-pack/re-style transfers, truck logistics.
  • Receiving: packed product, purchased product, re-pack/re-style product.
• Prepare items for shipment while verifying information against orders and BOLs.
• Customer service.
• Enforce the Food Safety Program.
• Communicate daily with packing and sales departments.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating personnel on equipment usage and policies.
• Transport product from origin to destination as assigned.
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Verify all incoming and outgoing product for accuracy (quantity, size, type).
• Inform Sales & Shipping of inventory changes and conduct periodic inventory audits.
• Ensure all orders/delivery paperwork is available for inspection.
• Maintain professional company representation with all customers.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal transportation regulations.
• Abide by all transportation regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and minor maintenance (fuel, oil, radiator checks).
• Perform minor facilities maintenance and custodial housekeeping of the cold storage facility.
• Compile and submit damaged/aged inventory reports.

• Valid CDL – Class

• Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Capable of producing results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑oriented work ability.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.
• Medical clearance required.

$18.00–$19.50 per hour.

This position may encompass other duties than those listed above. If necessary, alternative duties may be assigned at the discretion of the direct supervisor.
