Plant Manager | Professional Audio Manufacturing
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Plant Manager to join a highly respected manufacturer operating within the professional audio sector.
My client is part of a global group of companies, home to some of the most prestigious brands in the audio industry. They design and manufacture professional audio equipment trusted in demanding environments around the world, including equipment used on the sets of Oscar-winning Hollywood productions.
This is a key leadership position with responsibility for manufacturing operations, quality, facilities and people, with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
As Plant Manager, you will:- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards and customer commitments are consistently achieved.
- Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, throughput and operational efficiency.
- Take ownership of the site's Quality Management System (QMS), including quality control, CAPA, regulatory compliance and ongoing improvement.
- Oversee facilities, production equipment, maintenance, calibration and EHS, ensuring a safe, compliant and reliable manufacturing environment.
- Lead, coach and develop production, quality and facilities teams, building a high-performance culture centered around accountability and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning and other functions to support new product introductions (NPI), resolve operational challenges and deliver wider business objectives.
- Significant manufacturing leadership experience with a demonstrable track record of improving productivity, quality, cost, safety and operational performance.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, root cause analysis, CAPA and Lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication and people-management skills, with experience developing and motivating high-performing teams.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
- A relevant degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related discipline.
- Experience with in electronics or high-tech manufacturing would be particularly advantageous, as would knowledge of ISO 9001, IPC standards, ESD controls, Lean Six Sigma, and facilities or capital project management.
