Supervisor - Production

Primex Plastics Corporation, an international leader in the extruded plastic industry, is seeking a 2 nd shift Production Supervisor for our Reedsburg, WI facility.

Production Supervisor – 2 nd shift

Full-time, Exempt

Typically, this role will work 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. but flexibility is required.

Monday through Friday is standard, with occasional weekend shifts

This role spends most of their time on the production floor with exposure to heat, noise, and machinery. PPE is required.

Responsible for supervising and coordinating manufacturing operations on assigned shift to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance meet Primex standards.

• Supervise and coach employees to achieve performance objectives by providing strong and effective leadership.
• Delegate work assignments and prioritize duties to maximize the efficient and effective use of personnel.
• Coach, train, manage, and appraise the performance of production staff, including frequent instruction and feedback, regularly scheduled performance reviews, and as-needed disciplinary actions.
• Promote and enforce safety programs and policies. Participate in safety meetings, incident investigations, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure a safe work environment for all.
• Make recommendations and encourage employee feedback to improve efficiencies and reduce costs related to processes and equipment.
• Maintain general oversight of building conditions including cleanliness and safety concerns.
• Communicate and interact effectively with all employees on all shifts.
• Coordinate with other supervisors and departments across shifts.
• Promote employee morale, engagement, and teamwork.
• Lead by example.

• 3+ years of work experience in a leadership role is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
