Position Summary

The Student Assistant will provide administrative and communication support to the Student Services Office, ensuring excellent service to students and prospective students. This casual position offers hands-on experience in student service, communications and administrative tasks contributing to the efficient operation of the office.

Student Service & Administrative Support
  • Respond to general student and prospective student inquiries and triage as appropriate.
  • Process routine forms and assist with registration-related documentation.
  • Create and maintain student files in accordance with records management guidelines.
  • Prepare draft letters and routine correspondence for review.
  • Admissions & Conversion Support
  • Send prepared communications to applicants and admitted students.
  • Assist with applicant file preparation and documentation tracking.
  • Support conversion campaign distribution and tracking.
  • Registration & Enrolment Support
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of letters.
  • Support documentation processing related to transfer credit, degree audits.
  • Maintain and update FAQ and student-facing resource documents as directed.
  • Communications & Events
  • Update UR Courses, website content, and digital boards.
  • Assist with student communications.
  • Provide administrative support for recruitment and student events.
  • Position Requirements
  • Currently enrolled as a student in the Faculty of Education, in good academic standing.
  • Strong passion for providing service excellence and delivering outstanding support.
  • Proficiency in using software programs and digital tools.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Curiosity and a proactive approach- ask questions and help with solutions
  • Creative thinking and the ability to come up with innovative content ideas;
  • A positive attitude and willingness to represent the Faculty of Education with professionalism and enthusiasm.
