Job Summary
The employee in this classification is responsible to assist in the technical and analytical support of departmental and project initiatives, functional testing and documenting business requirements while translating them into functional components, reports, process improvements and testing documentation. This position will also be responsible to identify and document stakeholder requirements and departmental initiatives for projects to ensure delivered solutions meet stakeholder and departmental needs.

Key Accountabilities

Research, analyze, administer and maintain functional processes, procedures, documentation and communications for the department

Prepare documents and retrieve and/or enter information within a variety of applications

Formulate standards and procedures related to a variety of functions

Resolve inquiries and provide documentation to end users regarding departmental programs

Conduct assessments and assist in the design, development and solutions to corporate programs

Assist with and prepare spread sheets and databases, business models and reports as required, including statistical trending, forecasting, or business-related analytical reports

Develop and implement new applications, conduct testing activities and maintain and provide technical support

Develop queries for various reporting purposes

Participate in requirements planning, data gathering and analysis, modelling and design

Participate in process re-engineering activities to identify business enabling solutions and areas of improvement

Develop, create and maintain business cases, functional and test strategies and associated documentation

Assist and participate in the coordination and preparation of business materials for departmental and project teams

Assist in the implementation of organizational change (people, process and technology)

Facilitate meetings to gather and document business and project requirements

Act as a liaison between business and technical resources

Utilize corporate applications and maintain files, records and databases associated with departmental functions

Provide assistance to functional work teams or project teams, as requested

Participate in continuous educational and professional development as required

Other related duties, as assigned

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or other related equivalent AND/OR;

Applicable professional designation/accreditation/certification/course in Supply Chain Management, or equivalent AND/OR;

Five (5) years of related experience in procurement practices and/or supply chain, or equivalent

Knowledge of standard business analysis practices, including requirements gathering, business case development and business processes and information technology

Ability to analyze functional/technological information and business needs and identify and implement solutions

Ability to complete multiple, simultaneous projects, within tight deadlines and under minimal supervision

Knowledge of information technology processes

Strong organizational and project management skills

Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Strong presentation and facilitation skills

Additional Information
Applicants who are successfully appointed to the role with the appropriate education and/or experience will be required to work with their Manager to pursue continued professional development in Supply Chain Management.

This position falls within the scope of the Unifor Local 649.
