Position Summary
This introductory level class will guide students in identifying and challenging existing colonial structures across the globe. The instructor will engage in proactive and informed discussions of contemporary art to better decode power structures, helping the class gain a deeper more inclusive understanding of a diversity of cultural experiences. Sharing personal stories, histories and dialogues from multiple perspectives will be encouraged.Position Requirements The successful candidate must possess, at minimum, a terminal degree in a related field (Music, Visual Art, Film, Theatre or a Creative Technologies related field). Experience teaching at the University level in a related topic is preferred. Knowledge of decolonization pedagogy must be in evidence in the applicant’s required documents.
