As CFO, you report directly to the City Manager and oversee key financial departments, ensuring alignment with the City’s mission. This role demands expertise in financial stewardship, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement. You will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing financial processes, encouraging collaboration, and implementing effective change management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct corporate financial functions and ensure operational efficiency
• Develop sustainable financial plans with a focus on long-term financing
• Lead the initiative for process improvements in budgeting activities
• Foster strategic relationships with City Council and other stakeholders
• Guide staff through transitions to support proactive services
Requirements:
• Minimum Professional Accounting Designation required
• 7+ years of senior-level governmental experience
• Proven expertise in strategic decision-making and financial management
• Excellent negotiation and leadership skills
• Ability to navigate complex political environments
