Established in 1962, the Saskatchewan Healthcare Employees Pension Plan (SHEPP) is a multi-employer, defined benefit pension plan serving the healthcare industry in Saskatchewan.
Were currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a full-time term of up to 14-months to join our team in Regina, SK. In this role, youll play a key part in managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts and ledgers, assisting with the preparation of financial reports and audits, and supporting the annual budget process. Youll also provide support for payments to our members and beneficiaries, ensuring accuracy and trust in every transaction.
Youll have a post-secondary degree in commerce, business administration, or a related field, with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (pension accounting an asset). An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
A Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation or enrolled within and/or committed to the CPA program is preferred.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, including income tax regulations.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated time management skills, and ability to prioritize when involved with multiple initiatives and changing priorities.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent ability to plan, organize and manage complex projects in a self-directed environment.
Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
