Lead financial strategy at the City of Regina as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You’ll oversee financial operations and ensure fiscal sustainability for city programs and services.
The Chief Financial Officer reports to the City Manager and is a critical executive leader. Directing a team of 200 across three departments, you will manage corporate finance, develop sustainable financial plans, and enhance budgeting processes.
Your role involves fostering long-term relationships and shifting municipal services towards strategic partnerships for efficiency and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage corporate financial functions including Treasury and Accounting
• Develop financial plans, capital projects, and budget management
• Lead improvements in the Planning, Budgeting & Analysis Project
• Foster relationships with City Council and stakeholders
• Shift services from transactional to strategic partnerships
Requirements:
• Professional Accounting Designation is required
• Minimum 7 years' experience in government or corporate settings
• Expertise in change management and strategic financial planning
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives
