SGI is looking for a Manager of Actuarial (Pricing) in Regina. The role involves leading actuarial projects, managing a team, and collaborating across departments to deliver high quality pricing solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Guide and manage complex actuarial analyses, process development and assumptions
  • Support the successful execution and delivery of projects within your team and collaborate on cross-departmental projects
  • Effectively manage a team of actuarial staff, actuarial work and projects
  • Develop actuarial sophistication, develop and mentor the team, review actuarial work, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
  • Leverage your leadership skills for good – actively support SGI’s culture, expand your own learning, and support colleagues in doing the same
Qualifications
  • A four‑year degree from an accredited post‑secondary institution in a relevant field such as Mathematics or Applied Science
  • ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) or ACIA (Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries) designation
  • FCIA (Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries) or FCAS (Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society) designation preferred
  • Eight years’ experience, including four years of leadership and four years in an actuarial role within the applicable product line
