Leads the Public Works Department in delivering municipal services and maintaining infrastructure, facilities, fleet, personnel, and materials. Works closely with Engineering to oversee the operation and maintenance of roadways, water and sewer systems, drainage, parks, and municipal facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage public infrastructure maintenance and related capital projects.
  • Oversee departmental budgets, procurement, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Support long-term infrastructure planning and asset management initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, performance management, and staff development.
  • Prepare reports, recommendations, and supporting materials for administration and Council.
  • Collaborate with neighbouring municipalities, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
  • Administer permitting, applications, work orders, construction inspections, utility installation approvals, and departmental policies.
  • Ensure efficient, safe, and responsive delivery of public works services.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 diploma or GED.
  • Experience in construction management, project delivery, and public works operations.
  • Experience supervising staff and managing human resources functions.
  • Experience working with municipalities, community organizations, service providers, or public-sector partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, coordination, documentation, and project management skills.
  • OHS certification required;
    Water and/or Wastewater Operator Certification is an asset.
  • Valid Saskatchewan driver's license.
