Bruin Equipment is growing and looking for a knowledgeable, customer-focused Equipment Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about heavy equipment, on-site sales, and helping clients maximize the value of their assets through professional consignment and auction services.

Position: Equipment Specialist

Location: Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, B.C. and all US States

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect,evaluate, and document the condition of equipment for consignment or auction sale.
  • Advise clients on pricing strategies and market trends to maximize equipment value.
  • Coordinate logistics for on-site sales and auctions, including setup, display, and equipment movement.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, ownership, and sale status.
  • Provide technical insights to buyers and sellers regarding equipment specifications and condition.
  • Support auction operations, including bidder registration, lot organization, and post-sale coordination.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, equipment maintenance, or auction services.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery used in construction, agriculture, or industrial sectors is a huge bonus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to assess equipment condition and market value accurately with tools provided.
  • Proficiency with digital tools for inventory tracking and online listings.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to client sites and auction locations.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Comfortable working around heavy machinery and active job sites.
