Location: Carlyle
Join the automotive field as a Skilled Truck & Transport Mechanic, earning competitive rates from $25.00 to $45.00 hourly. Contribute to repairing and maintaining transport vehicles while utilizing your technical know-how.
Working in a garage workplace with remote options, you will engage in diagnosing, inspecting, and repairing various vehicle systems. Your responsibilities will include road testing motors and advising clients on future maintenance needs, ensuring that commercial trucks remain in optimal condition. Competence in coaching apprentices will also be a part of your role.
Key Responsibilities- Repair, adjust, and replace parts of transport trucks
- Inspect mechanical units to identify issues
- Conduct road tests and evaluate vehicle performance
- Estimate and record parts, labor, and repair costs
- Mentor and guide apprentice mechanics
- Valid certifications in Truck and Transport Mechanics
- Welding skills are advantageous
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Attention to detail and reliability are crucial
- Willingness to relocate for the role
