We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical / Instrumentation Technician to support our facilities in Regina, Saskatchewan and surrounding area. The role reports to the Area Supervisor and is a key member of the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls department, ensuring our stations, terminals and gathering systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently.
Permanent residency within 100 km of Regina is a condition of employment.
Responsibilities- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and commission electrical equipment such as PLCs, instrumentation, motor control centers, motors, switch gear, VFDs, MOVs, HVACs and other related equipment.
- Apply Canadian Electrical Code requirements.
- Inspect and test instruments and systems to diagnose faults using electrical and electronic devices.
- Consult manufacturer manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine tests and maintenance procedures.
- Provide electrical support and maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance for all electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Complete all written and electronic records (work orders, maintenance reports, calibration sheets, time entry, material requests, drawings) to document work in progress and upon completion.
- Provide on‑call support during non‑business hours for emergency response and maintenance break‑ins.
- Provide technical input and scope development for operations, projects and turnarounds.
- Certified Interprovincial Electrical Journeyperson or dual‑ticketed as an Instrumentation and Control Technician.
- 5–10 years of experience in a gas plant, refinery, pipeline or oilfield environment.
- PLC experience considered a strong asset.
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (Maximo preferred), MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and optimization skills.
- Self‑motivated and energetic with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals in a busy field environment.
- Strong focus on safety and accountability for safety performance.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Cleared criminal history and satisfactory reference checks.
- Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre‑employment D&A testing.
