The City of Regina is seeking a skilled Journeyperson Mechanic with a Journeyperson Certificate in Truck and Transport Trade or related fields. This position demands a minimum of two years’ experience in truck and transport mechanical repair, including knowledge of heavy-duty transmissions. As part of the Transit Fleet Maintenance team, you will diagnose mechanical issues and conduct major repairs, ensuring the fleet is always ready for service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and overhauls on bus engines and electrical systems

• Assist in ordering necessary repair parts and materials

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical defects efficiently

• Conduct Highway Traffic Board safety inspections

• Undertake related duties as necessary

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Certificate in a relevant field required

• Two years of mechanical repair experience

• Knowledge of heavy-duty systems and transmissions

• Ability to read mechanical drawings

• Valid Class 5A License
