Sewer and Drainage Labourer

Join the City of Regina as a Semi Skilled Labourer focusing on sewer and drainage operations. This role involves construction, maintenance, and repair tasks to support critical urban infrastructure.

This position reports to a Crew Lead and requires performing a variety of semi-skilled duties to enhance sewer and drainage systems. It demands one year of relevant experience in the field, where you will handle tasks like trench excavation, debris removal, and equipment set up. Following safety regulations and maintaining strong workplace relationships is paramount for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform yard maintenance as directed

• Remove and replace materials in manholes and catch basins

• Excavate trenches by hand or equipment

• Assist with laying water and sewer lines

• Follow provincial health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Grade Twelve or GED equivalency

• One year of general labour experience

• Must obtain Operator Certification within one year

• Knowledge of water and sewer maintenance techniques

• Valid Class 5 driver's license
