This permanent role under the Facilities Operations department is crucial for maintaining health standards across all city swimming pools. You will oversee pool chemical applications, train Facility Operator I staff, and coordinate repairs alongside the trades section. Collaboration with public health and engineering departments ensures a safe swimming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor mechanical operations and water quality in pools.
• Train staff on water chemistry and filtration systems.
• Implement a preventative maintenance program.
• Coordinate equipment repairs with programming personnel.
• Maintain detailed records of operations and schedules.
Requirements:
• Grade twelve plus Pool Operation and Management Course.
• Two years of related experience.
• Valid Level II Pool Operator's Certificate and First Aid.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and chemical handling.
• Ability to train pool operators in best practices.
