Heavy Equipment Mechanic at GFL

Join GFL as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Regina, specializing in Truck and Transport services. You’ll maintain a cutting-edge fleet and carry out essential repairs on Hydrovac and Water trucks.

The ideal candidate will hold a Journeyman certificate and have previous leadership experience. In this role, you will perform diagnostic work, mechanical repairs, and ensure all equipment complies with GFL’s high safety standards. Keeping detailed documentation of repairs is a key aspect of this position to support effective communication within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues

• Carry out repairs on brakes, driveline, and hydraulic systems

• Test and ensure equipment performance after repairs

• Maintain organized documentation for repair work

• Collaborate with Shop Foreman and other team members

Requirements:

• Valid Journeyman certificate in relevant fields

• Clean Class 5 Driver’s License, 1A or 3A preferred

• Strong troubleshooting skills applicable to heavy machinery

• Flexibility to work overtime when necessary

• Familiarity with SGI Motor Vehicle Inspection Program is a plus
