Gas System Operations Technician

Gas system operations and maintenance define this Sask Energy opportunity. The permanent full-time position includes customer service, emergency response, and field-based work.
The Operations Technician Qualifying Position progresses from trainee duties toward qualified working-level responsibilities under qualified Technicians. Work includes installing, operating, and maintaining gas system facilities while following standards, specifications, and accepted industry practices. Training modules and field verification support independent work.

Key Responsibilities:

Service, activate, and reactivate gas appliances and equipment
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, operation, and repair of gas facilities
Build, install, and remove meters and regulators
Detect leaks and repair gas lines
Respond to customer inquiries, emergencies, and trouble calls
Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Completion of the pre-qualifying assessment
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Physical fitness documented by a doctor's certificate
Availability for significant travel and occasional overnight stays
