Position: FT Assistant Store Manager - Lee Wrangler Outlet

The Assistant Store Manager is a key leader responsible for opening and closing the store, driving sales performance, delivering exceptional customer experience, and managing day‑to‑day store operations. The role supports the Store Manager by leading the sales floor, coaching team members on customer engagement and operational standards, and ensuring consistent execution of store procedures.

Responsibilities Brand Experience / Customer Service
  • Execute high retail standards and model selling behaviors to maintain store sales performance.
  • Coach team members to provide an in‑store experience that aligns with company expectations.
  • Engage customers with open‑ended questions, active listening, and personalized product suggestions.
  • Analyze trends, share findings with managers, and adjust selling strategies accordingly.
  • Drive loyalty performance through communication of store goals, daily result reviews, and targeted coaching.
Visual, Operation, and Safety
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring the store is clean, organized, and well stocked.
  • Adapt visual merchandising as needed to support sales and product storytelling.
  • Lead daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, point‑of‑sale integrity, freight processing, loss prevention, and safety initiatives.
  • Follow brand guidelines for independent store merchandising, adjusting as necessary for sales and visual impact.
  • Enforce adherence to all company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Respond quickly to customer or employee injuries, reporting them immediately to Human Resources.
  • Participate in Loss Prevention Audits, implement actions to meet district and company shrink goals, and conduct regular walkthroughs to assess safety and loss prevention risks.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, communicate suggestions to the Store Manager, and proactively manage controllable expenses to support P&L targets.
Leadership
  • Act as Manager‑On‑Duty on a rotating basis.
  • Effectively manage freight, inventory, and store processes.
  • Provide in‑the‑moment coaching or feedback to the team.
  • Assist the Store Manager with recruiting, scheduling, and payroll processing.
  • Build relationships with peers and other district stores through best‑practice sharing and training.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to create and execute team engagement and retention events and contests.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.

Job Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Retail or customer‑facing experience preferred but not required.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
  • Use store technology and office equipment, including point‑of‑sale systems, computers, and handheld devices.
  • Stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts, up to 8 hours.
