MJD Excavating, Inc. is looking to add a new Excavation/Construction Foreman to our team! We are a family and veteran-owned company based out of Rehoboth, MA, with over 30 years of experience in both commercial and residential excavation.
As a Foreman at MJD, you will work on various residential and commercial job sites throughout the stages of construction. Our Foremen work Monday-Friday with possible overtime on Saturdays.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy individual with the drive to become a valuable member of our team. Our ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience as a Foreman on excavation/construction job sites, have a valid and up-to-date hoisting license, have a valid and up-to-date driver's license, and a reliable vehicle.
Skills/Responsibilities/
Qualifications:
- Ability to read/interpret site plans.
- Follow safety protocols/procedures.
- Ability to supervise & coordinate job site activities.
- Good, working knowledge of construction tools/equipment.
- Work alongside others to complete daily tasks.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to assign work to others; ability to properly train new workers.
- Basic record-keeping skills.
- Basic machine/equipment maintenance.
- Previous experience required.
- Physical stamina required (i.e. ability to withstand heat, cold; ability to lift heavy objects; dig trenches; etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong work ethic.
