The Town of Rehoboth, MA Police Department is accepting applications for full-time Police Officer.
Applicants must be full-time police academy trained through the Massachusetts Police Training Committee or have a Bridge Academy exemption. Out-of-state applicants who have completed a full-time police officer training academy may apply, academy training must be recognized by the Massachusetts police Training Committee (MPTC), applicants should contact MPTC for eligibility confirmation.
Minimum requirements include: must be 21-years old at time of application, possess a High School diploma (college degree from an accredited College or University or 2 years active-duty military preferred), United States Citizen, ability to obtain a Massachusetts License to Carry Firearms (LTC), and possess a valid driver's license.
The Town of Rehoboth offers a competitive compensation package with a starting salary range of $60,418 to $75,523 and maximum salary range of $76,416 to $95,520, dependent upon applicable college education. The Town offers 75/25 health care, educational incentive pay, dental plan, shift differentials, longevity pay, paid holidays, paid vacation time, and personal time. Successful applicants must pass a physical and psychological examination, a thorough background investigation, have the ability to be certified as a police officer by the Peace Officer Standards Training Commission (POST), and complete a State physical abilities test.
