ADTS of Rockingham County is seeking an experience, strategic and mission-driven Director of Finance to provide financial leadership for the organization and help guide its continued growth and long-term sustainability.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished finance professional to serve as a trusted strategic partner to Executive Leadership, providing the financial insight, analysis , controls, and planning needed to make sound organizational decisions. The Director of Finance will have meaningful responsibility for the agency's financial infrastructure while also helping shape financial strategy, evaluate new opportunities, strengthen systems, and ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources.

The successful candidate will bring strong nonprofit finance and accounting expertise, exceptional judgment, integrity, and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear recommendations for leadership. This position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys both the technical discipline of accounting and the broader challenge of using financial information to strengthen an organization.

The Director of Finance provides leadership and oversight for all facets of ADTS's financial operations and related administrative functions. The position is responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, financial analysis, internal controls, compliance, risk management, and audit coordination. As a member of the Executive Management Team, the Director of Finance plays an important role in strategic planning, financial sustainability, program evaluation, organizational growth, and resource allocation.

The Director works closely with the Executive Director, Executive Committee, Director of Human Resources, program leadership, funding sources, auditors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders. The Director will ensure that ADTS maintains a strong financial foundation, effective internal controls, reliable financial reporting, and sound financial practices. The position will also evaluate the financial implications of proposed programs, services, sites, contracts, and other organizational initiatives.

This is a high-trust, professional-level exempt position requiring substantial initiative, independent judgment, discretion, and accountability. The successful candidate will be expected to identify opportunities for improvement, anticipate financial needs and risks, and proactively provide leadership with information and recommendations that support the agency's mission and strategic objectives.

• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Executive Director, Executive Committee, and Executive Management Team.
  Translate financial information into meaningful analysis, recommendations, and actionable insights for organizational decision-making.
• Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, cash-flow planning, and long-range financial planning.
  Evaluate the financial feasibility and potential impact of new programs, services, sites, contracts, funding opportunities, and other strategic initiatives.
• Monitor organizational financial performance and proactively identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas requiring corrective action.
• Support leadership in making informed decisions regarding resource allocation, investments, operational priorities, and financial sustainability.
