Offset Shift Lead -ASC

Job Description

The Offset Shift Lead provides leadership and specialized support to all Offset employees by coordinating the daily activities and development of employees.

Provide leadership in the Offset Department to establish the operational metrics that support achieving the financial results of the plant.

• Ensure adequate department staffing to include hiring, directing employees, scheduling, coaching, mentoring and development of employees.
• Participate in internal system, process and product audits as well as supplier audits and assessment efforts.
• Ensure all procedures are followed and accurate data is entered into various systems for effective records, month-end and periodic reporting. Effectively communicate to employees to ensure full team support to set standards of performance in support of production.
• Address all safety issues, behaviors and conditions within the department coordinating with the Offset Production Manager.
• Ensure accurate and thorough communication across all three shifts actively participating as a member and leader of the Offset Department
• Develop all team members in areas such as communication, performance, and safety
• Understand the OHSE and Quality obligations, actively support the policies and procedures and to implement the guiding principles in their every day activities.

• Five years experience in a printing/packaging environment
• Skilled in the application of various systems, PC literate.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate to all levels of the organization

• High School or G.E.D. equivalent/Associates Degree

• This position may require periods of sitting, stooping, standing, and/or reaching, balancing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
• Use of close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus.
• Manual dexterity is required.
