Crane Operator​/Labor

The basic function of the Crane Operator / Material Handler is to lift, move, and position loads, such as machinery, equipment, products, and solid or bulk materials. The role also includes safely loading and unloading trucks/trailers and ensuring proper weight handling.

Starting pay will be based on experience.

• Preferred:
  High School diploma or GED
• Preferred:
  Minimum of 2 years experience as a crane operator, preferably in a recycling environment
• Must have corrected vision that meets the same requirements as a valid driver's license
• Must have coordination between eyes, hands, and feet
• Operate material handler in a manner that always ensures safety for themselves, customers, and co-workers
• Adhere to all company safety policies
• Lift, move, and position loads such as machinery, equipment, products, and solid bulk material as needed
• Load and unload trucks/trailers in a timely manner
• Service and maintain material handler daily using company resources
• Upgrade non-ferrous materials out of shred/white goods pile
• Ensure flow of traffic is handled as safely and efficiently as possible
• Use any free time efficiently by working on ways to make the scrap metal recycling process more efficient and effective
• Ensure working areas are kept neat, orderly, clean, and hazard-free
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Location Manager

• Ability to relocate to Reidsville, NC 27320 before starting work (Required)
