Role Overview
The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company. This includes recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, receiving funds, and the payment of bills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Financial Recordkeeping- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements and ensure that all transactions are properly accounted for.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues with financial records.
- Support accounts receivable activity.
- Monitor the movement of funds both in and out of bank accounts.
- Maintain relationships with both customers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
- Maintain organized and comprehensive financial documentation for audit purposes.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in using business software:
Net Suite, Excel, Google Workspace, Salesforce, etc. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm with a 1-hour lunch, Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch
