Job Details

Senior Accountant (Hybrid). Permanent, full‑time position in San Francisco, CA. Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year. Requires mix of remote and on‑site collaboration within a mortgage industry team.

• Critically review and prepare complex individual, fiduciary, partnership, not‑for‑profit, and corporate tax returns.
• Conduct engagement planning, process and controls testing, analytical reviews, and accounting research.
• Research and explain technical issues to staff, motivating them to build technical skills.
• Embrace and encourage ongoing change and improvement, empowering staff at all levels to provide feedback and implement changes.
• Demonstrate leadership, problem‑solving, strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the mortgage industry.
• At least 2 years of tax or audit experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax codes.
• Ability to work toward or have met the 150‑semester unit requirement for CPA licensure; CPA license is a plus.
• Exceptional problem‑solving skills, leadership qualities, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with high urgency in completing tasks and assignments.
• Capacity to embrace and encourage ongoing change and improvement, and empower staff to provide feedback and make changes.
