Essential Duties
- Perform assigned assurance procedures, including audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed‑upon procedures.
- Reconcile work papers to trial balance accounts and ensure neat, complete, and organized documentation.
- Understand and apply basic concepts of GAAP, GAAS, and other financial reporting frameworks.
- Determine scope of testing, select samples, and demonstrate audit skepticism.
- Prepare and review draft financial statements and identify potential issues for documentation and communication.
- Obtain an understanding of control deficiencies and assist in documenting items for management communication.
- Manage individual workloads across multiple engagements and prioritize tasks with supervisor guidance.
- Communicate effectively with team members on project statuses and participate actively in meetings.
- Develop a basic understanding of client industries and issues that may impact audit work.
- Contribute to team efforts by volunteering to assist and participating in training and independent learning.
- Demonstrate strong time‑management skills to meet deadlines and engagement priorities.
- Perform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership.
- Meet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity.
- CPA license or eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Understanding of audit standards and ability to adapt to changes.
- Proficiency in learning and utilizing audit‑related software and tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Accurate mathematical and accounting skills.
- Ability to follow firm procedures and deliver high‑quality work.
- Full‑time commitment and flexibility to work beyond regular hours to meet team deadlines.
